Stories change and as fashion tends to applaud innovation, even couture got to make an arresting turn and embrace quite an opposite direction. The spring 2013 couture runways served as the first clear sign that some rules got broken and that the game was about to change. Still filled with dramatic garments, the main collections also introduced a selection of outstanding pants for the evening, having girls borrow from the boys yet again. Under constant evolution, the androgyny fashion made a pretty big step towards conquering the fashion industry as a whole.
As nothing is what it seems anymore, putting on a nice pair of pants for a fancy night out will sooner than later become a healthy habit, reenforcing a woman's comfort and exuding a quiet confidence, the kind that is so irresistible when played right. As the styling possibilities seem endless, it's still the runway where we keep seeking inspiration and outfit interpretations, especially as the evening wear became even cooler.

Pink Tartan's Wigs Have Critics Calling Foul On Twitter -- MasterCard Fashion Week
Toronto's fashion elite gathered in the tents at David Picault Square March 18 to watch label darling Pink Tartan charm their well-tailored pants off during Toronto Fashion Week. And while most of the styleratti gave the Spring/Summer 2013 collection glowing reviews, some attendees couldn't get past one minor, but significant detail: The bad blond wigs.
Said one fashionista on Twitter: "The clothes at Pink Tartan are actually quite lovely, but I can't accept these awful wigs. #WMCFW"
Another critic was a bit more blunt: "Cheap wigs and lux fashion - #americanhorrorstory inspired collection by @pink_tartan #wmcfw"
But it wasn't all bad. Most style editors, bloggers and Pink Tartan lovers adored the '60s housewife inspired show, including Jeanne Beker and Lisa Tant. Check out their reactions below:

Toronto Fashion Week Fall 2013: DUY
World Mastercard Fashion Week, Day 2, DUY, by Nguyen Duy, fall 2013 collection
DUY fall 2013 collection by Duy Nguyen, winner of Mercedes-Benz Startup program, at World Mastercard Fashion Week. Born in Vietnam and raised in Canada, the designer was chosen by the Mercedes Benz Start-Up program to present his couture-inspired collection Tuesday. He has worked with seasoned Canadian designers such as Kimberley Newport-Mimran of Pink Tartan and Montreal's Marie Saint Pierre, launching his own line in 2001. But it was his French Riviera in the 1980s spring 2013 collection that won him this spot on the World MasterCard runway. Duy Nguyen opened his fall 2013 collection with a dramatic floor-length tuxedo coat with sharp shoulders and a sharp silhouette.
Nguyen's craftsmanship is spectacular. He is a master with cut and fit. He also proved his ability to think in unexpected ways: a sweatshirt material Magic Dress UK evening gown, blue brushed mohair trousers with a deep green leather top. His sharp horizontal knife-pleat dresses and body conscious leather dresses also underscored the designer's knack for precision fit. He is also experimental - a fox fur-trimmed glazed leather jacket, for example, or a metallic tulle gown.

The Best Dresses that I Love from Fashion Shows Fall 2013
The full-skirted silhouette of this Lanvin dress takes us back to the glam Fifties.
This time Valentino collection was filled with the amazing dresses. My absolute favorite is floor-length gown in the pink and cobalt. Luxurious, chic and extravagant, you will feel a real royal person in this Alexander McQueen crisp white gown.
Reminding of the witches' dresses from the fairy tales, this Gareth Pugh creation takes you to the evil journey.
Keeping up with the latest fashion trend, Roberto Cavalli created the floor-length evening gown with sheer skirt and sleeves.
This multi-structured dress is a perfect example of Fendi's high-quality craftsmanship and original approach to fashion.
Blooms on the top and feathers on the bottom, this Christopher Kane dress in wine red could be combined with both elegant heels and biker boots.

Dress Trends For Fall 2013
Fresh From 2013 Fashion Week
The New Suit
Fall's suiting offers a slight revamp, relying on structured slim pencil skirts and fitted jackets for the ladylike woman we saw at Gucci, Oscar de la Renta, and many more. The alternative is a funkier kind of suit that turns the classic iteration on its head with bold metallic or textured finishes. What's clear is this: there's a new suit in town for Fall '13.Supersize Coat
Fall 2013 was all about the supersize coat. Whether structured, baggy, or draped, designers like Carven and Stella McCartney filled their runways with covetable larger-than-life outerwear to snag next season.Winter White
There was no shortage of Winter-white looks on the Fall 2013 runways. From Giambattista Valli's ethereal gown to Proenza Schouler's modern white suit, nothing says "chic" like this classic and unapologetically simple hue.Texture
Furry finishes, feathered detailing, shearling, and studded leather were just a handful of the trends that pointed to a textural takeover on the Fall '13 runways. Some are more typical of Fall and Winter, like the begs-to-be-touched detail in the coziest finishes at Altuzarra, Tom Ford and beyond. But there was more in the way of drama-inducing texture, too, thanks to Gucci's high-wattage, plumage-like pencil skirts and Chanel's grungier distressed denim.3/08/2013
New Ways to Wear Leather that You Should Know
When it comes to fashion, "One day you're in, and the next day you're out." While they may have been a style reject for years, leather pants are finally making their way back on the A-list -- literally. Sure, a stylish leather jacket was always biker-chic -- but could anyone pull off a leather shirt? Not until now.
Demi Lovato managed to mash sexy and elegant in one stunning gown. If you're not ready for a full bustier like this one, take a hint from Jennifer Lawrence and opt for a subtle leather panel.
Details, details. When tackling a fabric that's as unforgiving and risky as leather, you always want to start small. Emma Stone shows off the ideal way to add tiny accents of leather on her jacket's collar and pocket.
Not ready for that skin-tight leather tank quite yet? Instead, follow the lead of Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson and go with a casual button-up or sweatshirt. The leather-clad front will spice up the look without looking too biker babe. YES. casual leather also can be the red carpet dress for different. Plus, you'll be completely comfortable and more importantly, able to breathe.

Looks From Today's Valentino Fall/Winter 2013
It doesn't get much prettier than Valentino's fall show, which walked earlier today in Paris. The house has a reputation for producing dreamy, romantic collections season after season, but their outing for fall felt like one of their strongest yet.
Like a wearable version of the Secret Garden.
A royal blue jumpsuit that lives up to its regal name.
There's nothing sweeter than the sheer scalloped panels on this dusty pink and blue minidress. Doesn't it make you wish you had more tea parties?
For those days when you feel like wrapping yourself in a work of art instead of a house coat.
