How to Clean a Satin Bridesmaid Dress

Take a satin bridesmaid dress to a professional dry-cleaned store may be a good way to clean, but if you want to save money and time, you can also wash it yourself at home. Satin is a delicate material, so use gentle washing techniques. Let's follow these tips to make this thing more easily.
1. Spot clean any stains on the dress before washing it. Place a few drops of gentle liquid dish washing soap into a bowl of warm water. Mix the the soap into the water and dip a soft washcloth into the solution. Rub the soap into the satin using gentle circular motions. Repeat the process until the stain lifts.
2. Turn the satin dress inside-out prior to washing it to protect any embellishments, such as lace, pearl, bead or crystal details.
3. Fill a tub or large sink with warm water. Add several drops of a gentle laundry detergent to the water and mix with your hand.
4. Place the satin dress into the tub of soapy water. Wash the dress in the water by hand, being careful not to twist or ring the fabric. Rinse the clean dress with clean, warm water to remove any soap residue.
5. Hang the dress and allow it to drip-dry. Lay the dress flat on a clean surface to dry as another option.
